How It Works. The LifeAid™ Tenant Emergency Response Service (TERS) is designed as, but is not limited to, a facility-based offering for senior housing and hospitals. To the tenant, it is simply a lightweight, waterproof pendant or wristband with only one large button to press if they need medical aid. There is no equipment in the individual's suite, room, or area to have to operate or service or repair. Here is a summary of how it works:
The Technology. LifeAid™’s Tenant Emergency Response Service (TERS) utilizes the latest 128 bit AES encrypted radio frequency technology. The pendants notify a strategically located Node of an emergency using the 2.4 GHz bandwidth and the Node passes the message to LifeAid’s MCU. The MCU then follows a strict set of heuristics to determine whether or not to dispatch EMS. Ultimately, LifeAid’s proprietary software can be tailored to fit the needs of any home or property. Being flexible empowers our clients to be competitive in their market!
The installation of the LifeAid™ TERS System is minimally invasive whether it's a brand new building or a finished one. There is little need to cut holes in ceilings or walls to run wires. In most cases, the installation can be completed in just a few days. We work with the property management team to ensure their tenants or employees are treated with the utmost respect and suffer as little inconvenience as possible.
