How It Works.

The LifeAid™ Tenant Emergency Response Service (TERS) is designed as, but is not limited to, a facility-based offering for senior housing and hospitals. To the tenant, it is simply a lightweight, waterproof pendant or wristband with only one large button to press if they need medical aid. There is no equipment in the individual's suite, room, or area to have to operate or service or repair. Here is a summary of how it works:

Help Summoned.
When the button is pressed, there is an automated call back to the tenant’s telephone with the message:
“Press any button to cancel Ambulance”
This message can be pre-programmed in other languages.

Signal Transmitted.
If the tenant does not answer the phone or the phone is off the hook, a signal will go through to SecurTek Monitoring Station. SecurTeck is LifeAid™'s UL certified business partner and is responsible for the monitoring portion of the LifeAid™ TERS service.

Personal Response.
Quickly, SecurTek will dispatch the ambulance company any other pre-programmed contact.

Informed Arrival.
Individual tenant data; (example: name, hospitalization no., medical conditions like diabetes, etc.) is made available to the medical team via SMS or Email. This information is customizable for each property.

Confirmation.
Our monitoring service provider, Securtek, logs all communications and signs off once the Ambulance has been notified.

The Technology.

LifeAid™’s Tenant Emergency Response Service (TERS) utilizes the latest 128 bit AES encrypted radio frequency technology. The pendants notify a strategically located Node of an emergency using the 2.4 GHz bandwidth and the Node passes the message to LifeAid’s MCU. The MCU then follows a strict set of heuristics to determine whether or not to dispatch EMS. Ultimately, LifeAid’s proprietary software can be tailored to fit the needs of any home or property. Being flexible empowers our clients to be competitive in their market!

The Installation.

The installation of the LifeAid™ TERS System is minimally invasive whether it's a brand new building or a finished one. There is little need to cut holes in ceilings or walls to run wires. In most cases, the installation can be completed in just a few days. We work with the property management team to ensure their tenants or employees are treated with the utmost respect and suffer as little inconvenience as possible.
